30-45 Day Drug Rehabs
There are many short term (about 30 days) rehab centers out there
charging more than $20,000 for just that first and only month. Besides the high
price tag, the problem is that shorter term programs aren't usually as
successful as longer-term drug rehabs. Therefore we have found a few options
that are closer to 30 days (but a little longer) and can still be more
affordable because it isn't paying for a 4-6 month program.
Someone can expect to pay an average cost of about $2,00 per week in a residential (inpatient) drug rehab program. Despite some facilities charging fees of $500 per day and up, it isn't necessary to pay that much for a good program.

What to Look for in a Rehab Program
When someone is looking to get off of drugs or alcohol permanently, it is necessary to understand what is really driving the substance abuse and what will therefore ultimately stop it. Too often people are convinced nowdays that addiction is an incurable brain disease, which is a complete lie. It was made up to try and sell drugs to addicts legally as a form of treatment. This means anything form long-term opioid replacement therapy for heroin or Oxycontin addicts (putting them on Suboxone or methadone for many months, years or for life) to handing out prescriptions for symptoms such as severe up and down mood swings, anxiety, depression, etc. which are actually common reactions when someone has a substance abuse problem. The answer to solving these problems isn't to give them more drugs, it's to get them rehabilitated so those symptoms go away as well as the desire to use other drugs or alcohol.
We recommend programs that do not use long-term replacement drugs of any kind. It might be more difficult at first, but the results at the end of the treatment (including the follow-up and aftercare) are much more stable than at programs where drugs are handed out to addicts. In addition, those programs that incorporate some type of nutritional approach to strengthening the person's mind and body again with supplements that can help restore their own natural balance are even more successful. This is much better than going "cold turkey".
